Tour Description
The complex system of colonial forts dotting the bay of Havana was built to defend the village of San Cristobal de la Habana (St. Christopher of Havana) from pirates and after the defeat of Havana by the British in 1762. It was a haven and port of call for the Spanish fleet.
The tour includes:
- Visit the Castillo de la Real Fuerza (Castle of the Royal Force), dedicated to underwater archaeology and naval construction in Cuba.
- Visit the remains of the former city walls.
- Visit El Morro and La Cabaña fortresses.
- Visit the quaint coastal village of Cojimar.
Duration: 3 hours
