Old Havana’s architecture is the glorious result of the adaptation of Andalusian stylistic vocabulary to tropical conditions and materials. The mudéjar influence can be clearly seen in exquisite facades, arcades of columns and atmospheric inner courtyards, as can the flamboyantly Cuban sense of colour and ornament which prevails throughout local streets and squares. Devote a morning to exploring Old Havana’s best buildings on foot with Juliet Barclay’s expert guidance. Wherever possible, the tour will be tailored to your own specific architectural or historical interests.
Available: every day (please note however that many Havana museums and cultural centres close on Mondays, so that day is best avoided in order to enjoy the full benefit of the tour)
Duration: 3 hours approx
Departs: 9.30am, or by arrangement
Price: 408 CUC (museum and gallery entrance fees not included); pay on the day
If you wish to share the cost of this VIP tour with fellow-travellers, up to ten people may participate.
